The game itself is usually controlled and manipulated using a handheld device connected to the console, called a controller. The controller generally contains number of buttons and directional control such as analogue joystick . The display, speakers, console, and controls of a console can also be incorporated into one small object known as a handheld game.                                              Consoles game usually comes in the form of an optical disc, ROM cartridge, digital download or in the case of dedicated consoles, stored on internal memory. The global console games market was valued at about $26.8 billion in 2018.

A video  game is a electronic or computer device that output a video signal or visual image to signal display a video game that one or more people can play through some type of game controller. These may be home consoles which are generally placed in a permanent location connected to a television or other display device and controlled with a separate game controller, or handheld consoles that include their own display unit and controller functions built into the unit and can be played anywhere. 

Video game console are usually sold on 5-7 yrs cycle called a generation, with consoles made with similar technical capabilities or made around the same time period grouped into the generations. Playing video game is good or bad ?it can be both .

The comman complaint about video games is that they are too violent.
